Day 2 (Lucerne to St. Moritz)
Get to know lovely Lucerne — a 14th-century city still protected by medieval fortifications — as your Travel Director shows you its famed covered bridges, painted gables and other sights. You’ll also have time to visit the shops or to stroll around the lake. After your relaxed morning, it’s time to head down scenic roads to the beloved ski resort area of St. Moritz, where you can see the city’s spa quarter and the glacial lake. Dinner (with wine!) follows at your resort-style hotel.

Day 3 (St. Moritz)
Today is all yours to spend at your leisure. Why not check out the hotel’s spa area (at your own expense) and other wonderful amenities? If you’re feeling adventurous, an aerial cableway is just a short walk away — it offers some amazing views! — while a nearby public bus stop can whisk you to the center of St. Moritz if you wish to explore more of this elegant resort town on your own. Another option: Taking a ride on Bernina Express — a scenic rail journey so epic, it’s been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 4 (St. Moritz to Brig)
Board the world-famous Glacier Express for a spectacular train ride through the heart of the Swiss Alps — lunch included! Descend through the tunnels of the Albula Pass and traverse the lofty Landwasser viaduct. Your train then joins the broad Rhine Gorge and meanders beside rivers, pastures and woodlands, while picturesque landscapes of mountains and quaint villages glide by. After a series of spirals, you’ll reach the highest point of the route, the Oberalp Pass. Modern, panoramic viewing cars ensure that you won’t miss a thing on your descent to Andermatt and down the Rhone Valley. Around midafternoon you’ll disembark in historic Brig and have some time on your own before dinner at your cozy, comfortable hotel.
Overnight at Hotel Alex.

Day 5 (Brig)
Marvel at the dramatic Swiss scenery as you follow the narrow valley which leads to Tasch. There, you’ll board a cogwheel train and set off for the traffic-free haven of Zermatt at the foot of the Matterhorn. Stroll through cobbled streets to browse in the shops, explore the ancient wooden farmhouses or visit the Matterhorn Museum to pass through the homes of yesteryear. For a real adventure, consider booking a cable-car ride up the Klein Matterhorn — if you’re not afraid of heights, that is. Return to your hotel in Brig where the remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Overnight at Hotel Alex.
Meals included: Breakfast.
Day 6 (Brig to Geneva)
Traverse the lower Rhone valley to the shores of Lake Geneva. There, a local expert will take you to Chillon Castle, set on a rocky islet in the lake. Close by is the sophisticated tiered town of Montreux, home of a lovely lakeside promenade. Enjoy a scenic journey alongside the lake, passing Vevey and Lausanne on your way to Geneva. There, you’ll be able to see the United Nations Office (the organization’s headquarters), Old Town, the famous Jet d’Eau water fountain and other city sights. Spend your night in Geneva with fellow DreamTrippers at Le Petit Chalet restaurant and savor a delicious fondue celebration dinner complete with wine.
